Hello John.
Over the weekend, there was a display of hate-based Nazi demonstrations in Orlando, Florida along I-4. These actions must be condemned swiftly.
I am a Jewish woman. I am married to a Jewish man and, together, we are raising a Jewish daughter. As the first Jewish Latina elected to the State Senate, I am a proud member of the Florida Legislative Jewish Caucus.
I understand the fear my community is experiencing as we witness these episodes of anti-semitism spread across the state and country.
It was incredibly disappointing to see Ron DeSantis’ spokesperson, Christina Pushaw, imply that these hateful demonstrators were paid actors.
Bigoted comments such as these by the Governor’s own staff embolden anti-semitic sentiments. As we see a concerning rise in white-supremisism and even Nazi ideation, more than ever we need elected leaders to condemn hate.
John: As Governor, I pledge that I will always fight against anti-semitism and hate. And today, I unequivocally condemn the demonstrators we saw over the weekend as well as the horrible comments made by Ms. Pushaw, Ron DeStantis’ spokesperson.
Will you join me?
Thank you,
Annette Taddeo
Candidate for Governor
