John,

With state legislatures reconvening, the battle to bypass Congress and approve the Term Limits Convention is heating up.

Here's where we stand this week:

>>> Our Term Limits Convention legislation was introduced in Arizona.

>>> In Tennessee, USTL's field team held a successful Capital Day lobbying event, and we think we're close to finally convincing that state to call the Term Limits Convention.

>>> Our resolution is alive in both South Carolina and Georgia and will be going to committee hearings soon!

>>> In Kentucky, volunteers have scheduled a Capital Day event as well.

>>> 14 more candidates for Congress or state office this week pledged in writing to support term limits. The USTL pledge team's mission is to identify candidates who are willing to sign the term limits pledge and then educate voters on which candidates stand with the 80% of Americans who support term limits.

>>>Former Representative Rod Blum has joined the effort to call the Term Limits convention in Iowa by agreeing to be USTL's Iowa state co-chair. Our legislation was filed with both houses of the Iowa legislature this week as well.

>>> Term Limits day is coming up and a generous donor is willing to match all online donations between now and Feb. 27!
