Voting rights and abortion rights are under relentless attack. Within the last 3 weeks alone, we've seen over 100 bills(!!!) filed in state legislatures across the country that will restrict access to the ballot.
We can officially say that the right to safely access abortions and reproductive care
can no longer be guaranteed. These attacks on our fundamental rights have a specific goal in mind: to
hurt Black communities and make white supremacy permanent.
To make matters worse, far-right extremists have been counting their wins. Between an abortion ban being greenlit by the Supreme Court, legislation from the local to the national level introduced to weaken our democracy, as well as school boards choosing to ignore the history of slavery and systemic racism in this country in an effort to ban Critical Race Theory,
it doesn't end.
Republicans continue to empower extremist voices to continue to systematically strip away the liberties of Black folks across our country. John, we cannot stay silent while we risk the loss of our most fundamental rights.

White supremacy has been entrenched for far too long within both our political and electoral systems, and Republicans continually choose to enable individuals who want to maintain oppressive systems present throughout all areas of our society. Even worse, the GOP wants to further erase our country's racist past by teaching the next generation in our public schools that racism is
no longer an issue.
The elections last November taught us an important lesson: We
