Did you know that one year into Joe Biden’s presidency, we’re still stuck with Trump-era spending levels?

Because Senate Republicans continue to block passage of House-passed spending bills, everything from education to housing to nutrition programs for children and the elderly are receiving inadequate investments.

In fact, a review of 190 programs of particular importance to people with low and moderate incomes finds that 130 programs―or 68%―lost ground in 2021 compared with 2010. One-third of those programs received a cut of 20% or more, when taking inflation into account.

Congress has until February 18th―less than three weeks―to pass federal spending bills, or current temporary funding will run out. CHN is rallying our national allies, demanding Congress act.
