[link removed] [[link removed]]Dear John,
The team at Inequality Media just shared some incredible news: We’ve now reached over 6.5 million followers across social media. And in the last year we had more than 3.8 billion active engagements.
That’s double the average audience for Tucker Carlson’s show. It’s more people than watch "Meet the Press" each week or the circulation of the largest newspapers in America.
And we’ve done it with a fraction of the budget and staff of traditional corporate media outlets and extremely minimal advertising.
Instead, we’ve relied on a lean, incredibly nimble team producing creative content 24 hours a day across every platform, lifting up issues that the corporate media ignore, calling out right-wing disinformation, and engaging young people and others who long ago tuned out traditional politics.
I’ve never seen a group get more done with less, and that’s why I can tell you without hesitation that there’s no more effective place to donate to help make progressive change than Inequality Media.
Will you help us continue to grow our movement for progressive change by making a donation to Inequality Media today? [[link removed]]
Make a Donation [[link removed]]If you had told me 10 years ago that a tiny team working mostly from home during a pandemic would build an audience larger and more engaged than some of the biggest media brands in the country, I would have said, "impossible."
But this small team of gifted people at Inequality Media has been able to take a shoestring budget and build an audience across YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok that rivals the corporate media giants.
How did we do it? By constantly experimenting with videos, graphics, memes, cartoons, and interviews, and by using advanced analytics to track what’s working and what’s not. And always looking for the next new platform in the ever-changing social media landscape, while never shying away from new trends.
Case in point: not long ago, hardly anyone had heard of TikTok. But in less than a year, we grew to more than half a million followers there, many of them young people we’d never reach through traditional media outlets, and who had never heard of me before.
That’s why, of all the organizations I’ve worked with and contributed to over the years, Inequality Media is my favorite. And if you had to pick just one progressive organization you can afford to donate to, this is the one I recommend.
If you can, please make a donation to Inequality Media and help this incredible team continue building the progressive movement. I firmly believe this group of people has what it takes to build the power we need to bring about real change. [[link removed]]
Thank you for all you do. I’d be remiss not to include you as one of the key reasons we’re able to do so much with so little.
In solidarity,
Robert Reich
