Greetings
Friend,
When
you want to get the scoop of what's really happening with parents,
students, and education in North Carolina, A.P.'s reporting is the way
to go. And we're not talking about the Associated Press.
A.P. Dillon is one of
the few reporters out there actually doing investigative reporting.
Rather than offer cable new's nagging and left-leaning editorializing,
or the legacy print media's incurious 30,000-foot views, Dillon gives
the "who, what, where, and when" of a story, leaving the why up to
you, the reader.
In case you missed it, on Friday we shared
with you what A.P. Dillon had to say about
our upcoming School Board Bootcamps:
"Over the past two years, parents
have become more involved in the education of their children than ever
before.
Frustrated by mask mandates, school
closures, learning loss, inappropriate materials, and the permeation
of Critical Race Theory, parents took to protesting their local school
boards in record numbers.
Protesting parents also found
themselves targeted by the National School Boards Association, an
organization that sent a letter to President Biden comparing parents
to domestic terrorists.
To add insult to injury that letter
would be used by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to direct the
FBI to investigate moms and dads across the country, including
applying a counterterrorism threat tag to anyone that crossed their
path.
Two upcoming training events have
been designed to help parents regain local control by giving them the
tools they need to get elected to their local school board."
On February 9th and 10th, we are proud to be partnering with Family
Research Council Action to host these two
free School Board Bootcamps in Raleigh and
Mooresville.
The School Board Bootcamps are for
everyone! Even if you’re not a candidate, if you just want to get
good school board members elected, these events are for
you!
The free events are designed to
educate and equip you to make a difference in your local school board.
If you feel a passion to run for school board or to elect a slate of
school board members who share your values, then we want to invite you
to these two free events. See the flyer below for more info,
and click it to RSVP:
Sincerely,
Tami
