Team,

On Veterans Day, we honor the courage and sacrifice of those that have served our nation. I believe that the best possible support for veterans and servicemembers is to continue to work for peace, and we can all agree that those who have served deserve care and respect.

But our veterans deserve more than platitudes -- they deserve our support both during and after the transition to civilian life.

That means ensuring veterans can easily access quality physical and mental health care. That means ensuring for-profit colleges don't abuse the new GI Bill to take advantage of veterans. That means fighting for a world in which the words "homeless" and "veteran" are never again used in the same sentence.

It's the least we can do for those who have given so much.

If you or a loved one has served, know that I am sincerely grateful for that service. My office stands ready to assist with any needs related to veterans' care.

In solidarity,

Pramila
