It’s Veterans Day, and today, we remember and express our deepest gratitude to the men and women who served in our armed forces.

As a former Navy pilot, I understand just how much our servicemen and women and their families sacrifice to protect our country. It is a brave and selfless act, and we are forever in debt to their service.

I also understand the unique challenges veterans face when they return home. That’s why I’m working in Congress to making sure veterans have the resources they need.

As a Member of the House Armed Services Committee, I’ve helped advance measures to ensure there are robust employment opportunities for veterans and Gold Star families. And as Vice Chair of the Servicewomen and Women Veterans Caucus, I’m working to improve access to health care for our women veterans.

Our veterans have given so much to our country, it’s paramount that we give back.
