During Game 5 of the World Series in D.C., the crowd booed Trump when he arrived at the stadium. But what caught our attention most was the sign held up behind home plate.
Two fans displayed their sign reading “Veterans for Impeachment” and said they wanted to show Trump that “vets are not on his side.” Now, another group of veterans is putting out a seven figure ad buy targeting some of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country for their unquestioning support of President Trump’s abuse of powers and threats to the Constitution they took an oath to protect.
Retired Army sergeant Alan Pitts wrote in USA Today, “From Washington state to Washington, D.C., men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to stand up for our democracy are standing up again to call on Congress to do its constitutional duty -- to protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
