Friend,

Alex Seling, U.S Army veteran, will soon complete the American Discovery Trail here in Dana Point (click on photo to read the full story). He embarked on this journey to raise awareness and funds for veteran suicide prevention.

When I heard about Alex, I was moved by his experiences and his commitment to do more for his fellow veterans.

In 2019, 6,261 veterans died by suicide.

Veterans are at a 50% higher risk of committing suicide than their peers who did not serve.

We have so much work to do in this realm when it comes to veteran mental health resources and preventative strategies.

Later this afternoon we will be on hand to greet Alex as he arrives here in Dana Point from his amazing journey. His cause is an incredibly noble one. Alex was determined to finish this hike, and at Team Maryott we are committed to making sure he hits the goal he set out to accomplish.
