SAAF grantee partner spotlight: KELIN
SAAF grantee partner KELIN
The Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network on HIV and AIDS (KELIN) has been a SAAF grantee partner since 2019. KELIN works to promote and protect health related human rights for all, with a key focus on vulnerable and marginalized populations.
In Kenya, the Constitution allows for access to abortion only under certain circumstances, and the penal code still criminalizes women and medical providers for accessing and providing abortion care. KELIN's work focuses on advancing and protecting access to safe abortion at the grassroots level through advocacy and litigation.
You can read more about their work in this blogpost from KELIN's Programme Manager Linda Wanjiru Kroeger.
SAAF is hosted by IPPF. If you wish to report anything which concerns you about our work, or the work of our grantee partners (such as abuse, fraud, malpractice) please consider using the confidential external incident reporting service IPPF SafeReport.
