‘DHS Wants Everything on the Down-Low’
By Mark Krikorian
National Review, January 31, 2022
Excerpt: Both of these videos provide a peek at the administration’s facilitation of mass illegal immigration. And I say “facilitation” rather than “promotion” because I differ from others in that I don’t think there’s a plan here – this crowd doesn’t appear able to plan their way out of a paper sack. Instead, what we’re seeing play out is the modern Left’s rejection of the idea of borders, its belief that the American people, through their constitutional processes, do not have the right to keep out any foreigner who wants to move here.

Hearing: ‘For the Rule of Law, An Independent Immigration Court’
Statement of Andrew R. Arthur before the Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship
Committee on the Judiciary, U.S. House of Representatives, January 20, 2022

Excerpt: Restructuring the immigration courts and the BIA will almost certainly fail to address the core problems that are facing those tribunals. Moreover, not only would such restructuring be complicated and costly (and likely ultimately ineffective), but any proposal that would move either the immigration courts or the BIA out of the executive branch would implicate serious constitutional concerns . . . Apprehensions Set New Records at Southwest Border in December
By Andrew R. Arthur
Before the disaster at the border becomes a tragedy for our homeland, it is incumbent on the Biden administration to implement policies that will begin to tamp down on illegal entrants. Regrettably, however, there is no indication that the president plans on doing anything different anytime soon.

Biden Administration Secretively Renews Daily Air-Repatriation Flights to Haiti
By Todd Bensman
Out of public view, the Biden administration has ramped up daily ICE-Air deportation flights of Haitian border crossers to the capital of Port-au-Prince, the kind of operation that brought intense criticism from the Democratic Party’s progressive liberal wing when he briefly used it to disband a squalid Haitian migrant camp in Del Rio, Texas, last fall.
Reflections on 'Remain in Mexico', Part 2
By George Fishman
The varying levels of violent crime in different Mexican locales constitute no more reason to abandon the MPP than the homicide epidemic in many American cities constitutes a reason to abandon our resettlement of refugees.

Naturalization Approval Rates Soar

Political parties routinely seek to shape the electorate to their own purposes, as we see the Democrats seeking more open voting systems, and the Republicans more restricted ones. But while voting rights issues have been front and center in media coverage, two other electorate-shaping events remain hidden:
