Friend -- the next few months are going to be pivotal for our campaign.

We have a new opponent – a prominent anti-vaccine activist who's likely to get a lot of attention from Republican donors. There's also a lot to look forward to, like the February opening of our expanded Campaign Coffeehouse.

Can you help fuel our campaign through the crucial months to come? We're closing the books on January tonight, so now is a great time to give.

Subject: Two reasons to chip in

Friend --

The DeanTeam and I have been telling you a lot about what we're up against: multiple Republican challengers, including a Minnesota transplant who's nationally known for pushing anti-vaccine conspiracy theories.

If the prospect of losing this seat to a right-wing, anti-vaccine Republican fires you up, you're not alone – and you can help fuel our campaign by chipping in right now.

But today, as our fundraising deadline approaches, I want to shift our focus to positive news:

Biden administration cancels leases for controversial copper-nickel mine near Boundary Waters
-Star Tribune

This move comes on the heels of the introduction of the Boundary Waters Wilderness Protection and Pollution Prevention Act in Congress. I was proud to co-sponsor this bill – and I thank my colleague Rep. Betty McCollum (MN-04) for making it a priority.

While this news about protecting Minnesota’s precious Boundaries might not make national headlines, it’s significant.

It means we’re protecting fresh water, fish, and other wildlife from pollution that would last thousands of years. It means we’re upholding Tribal treaty rights. And it means recreation around the Boundary Waters, which brings nearly $100 million to our state each year, can be enjoyed for generations to come.

This is the kind of work I came to Congress to do – and I can only do it because supporters like you chip in when I ask.

So what do you say, Friend? Will you contribute to this campaign today as an investment in further progress?
