We’re in a bit of a pickle, John.

Our team can usually count on a surge of donations during the last few days of each month from folks like you who know how important it is that we reach our monthly fundraising benchmarks.

But since it’s been a busy start to the new year, a lot of folks haven’t been checking their inboxes – which means they haven’t been reading our emails or clicking the links we’ve sent asking them to pitch in a few bucks toward our end-of-month goal.

It also means that folks may not know that VA-02 was just rated a frontline district by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which means it's officially one of the most important and competitive House races in the entire country.

This comes at a time when our campaign is experiencing an unexpected drop-off in fundraising. So I have to ask while I’ve got your attention – will you chip in to help us raise the remaining $2,345 we need to reach our online fundraising goal for the month? Our deadline is midnight TONIGHT.
