Dear Friend,
Our hearts are heavy this week as we continue to mourn the murders of two NYPD heroes. On Friday, Officer Jason Rivera was laid to rest as hundreds of thousands of law enforcement members and New Yorkers lined the streets to honor their lives and selfless service. We listened to the heartbreaking eulogy delivered beautifully by Officer Rivera’s widow who spoke truthfully and passionately not only about her husband, but about the dangerous laws and policies that are putting all of us--even service members--at risk.
It was a painful, yet powerful reminder that elections have very real consequences. Yet, despite this, Governor Hochul and New York Democrats have vowed to press on with their radical agenda, refusing to “bow to pressure” and repeal their dangerous laws. Kathy Hochul won’t even condemn the Manhattan DA’s policy of refusing to prosecute crimes. She instead has embarked on a dishonest (yet predictable) crusade against guns. We already have tens of thousands of gun laws on the books. But what Kathy Hochul and Democrats fail to admit is that criminals break laws. They will never admit it is their destruction of our criminal justice system that created this crisis. It should be crystal clear to every New Yorker that they will not do what’s necessary to restore safety. They are full speed ahead on their dangerous radical agenda. It’s up to the voters of this state to use their power. They must take Officers Rivera and Mora--and all of the innocent victims of crime--into the voting booths with them this November and vote for a Republican governor who will stop this insanity once and for all. We must vote like all our lives depend on it because they do.
Sincerely,
|
