Friend, not a day goes by that I forget where I came from.
You might not know this about me, but I grew up in Kayton Homes public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia. I had 11 brothers and sisters – and while my family might have been short on money, we were long on love and faith. My parents raised us kids to work hard and believe we could do anything we put our minds to.
Thanks to their support, I was the first in my family to earn a college degree – and later, I became the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Now, I'm the first Black senator in Georgia's history and I'm fighting to make sure that every child can achieve their American dream.
But here’s the situation: I’m on the ballot again this year, and with CNN calling me the most vulnerable Democratic senator up for reelection, the GOP is coming after me as its top target for defeat. The only way we can defend my seat and win this race is with your help. Please, will you give $5 or more now – before tomorrow's big end-of-month deadline – so we can keep Georgia and the Senate blue?

That's me in front of Kayton Homes. I'm so grateful for how far we've come.
Thank you, friend. I’m honored to have your support.
