OK, we’ve got *another* update on the GOP spending frenzy in Pennsylvania. And get this — Republicans and their super PACs already poured over $17 million into this race.
They’re airing television ads across every inch of our Commonwealth, so we huddled and came up with a plan to fight back in all 67 counties. And you’re part of it, John.
Today, we’re assigning you to Allegheny County. Our latest data shows that Republicans are spending $5,282,926 to reach voters in the Philadelphia media market where Allegheny County is located. So we want to raise enough money to directly contact every single registered voter in the county (which will be more effective than any flashy TV ad).
So let’s do a little more math. There are 925,035 registered voters in Allegheny, and it costs 50 cents to reach one voter. That means we need to raise $462,518 total. It’s an ambitious goal, but we can get it done together.
