Veterans Day is a time to honor the 20 million men and women who have served our country in uniform. That includes 800,000 of our family, friends, and neighbors right here in Pennsylvania.

It’s easy to forget that the peace we enjoy here at home is only possible because thousands of brave Americans continue to selflessly risk their lives to keep the rest of us safe. And in a time of unprecedented threats to our national security — both digitally and on the ground — it's more important than ever that we ensure our veterans are taken care of when they come back home.

It's an honor to be able to advocate for our servicemen and women in Congress. Reintegration into civilian life presents a multitude of challenges, and it's crucial we secure for our veterans the quality health care, student loan forgiveness, job training, and other federal services they need to succeed.

I'm committed to keeping the promises we've made to our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines, and hope you will join me in those efforts today and every day.

So this Veterans Day, join me in recommitting ourselves to uplift and support the Americans who have risked it all to protect us. And if you know any veterans personally, please take a moment today to thank them for their service and sacrifices they've made to keep us all safe.
