One of the best parts of my job is reporting on the accomplishments we’ve made for Virginians. 2021 posed a litany of challenges, from navigating the evolving pandemic to defending against attempted attacks on our democracy. Through it all, we’ve proven we can deliver results for Virginia with a commitment to progress and dedication to service.
I hope as you reflect on just a few of our accomplishments in 2021 that you’re as energized for the coming year as I am. Now that January is drawing to a close, take a look at some of last year’s highlights by the numbers:
* $6 million+ returned to Virginians
* 2,300+ constituent cases closed
* 81,000+ emails, calls, and letters responded to
* 26 bills introduced in Congress, 96% of which were bipartisan
* 369 measures co-sponsored, 82% of which were bipartisan
* Ranked the #4 most bipartisan Democrat in the House and #1 in Virginia
I’m honored to serve Virginia’s 7th District, and I know that – even in a swing district that voted for our Republican Governor by 5.5 points – we’ll hold this seat and hold the House. As we begin working towards another successful year improving life for Virginians and ramping up our preparations for Election Day, I need your support.
