Friend,
To all the brave men and women who have served our nation -- including many in my family -- thank you for your service.
Whether they served decades ago or are serving today, we owe our veterans and their families a huge debt of gratitude for protecting the freedoms and values that we cherish as a nation.
We also need to do more than be grateful for their service. We need to honor their sacrifices by ensuring they get the benefits they have earned and the respect they deserve.
Honoring and serving America's veterans is one of Congress' most important duties, and one I take very seriously. From hosting veterans' job fairs to securing the role of the Dover Air Force Base, I remain committed to upholding my duty to support our veterans when they return home.
We might not be able to serve our veterans in quite the same way that they served us, but we can certainly try. This Veterans Day, let's honor our brave service members' sacrifices by giving back to our communities, respecting one another, and paying it forward.
All my best,
Chris
