Hi folks, sorry to bother you over the weekend, but this couldn’t wait. My team just told me that we’re falling short on our end-of-month fundraising goal, and we only have a few days left to reach our target. We’ve been incredibly busy this month getting things done for the people of North Carolina, and it’s all thanks to your continued support. Here’s a recap of some of our big moves: ✅ Filed a lawsuit against the phone company Articul8 to hold them accountable for allegedly facilitating illegal and fraudulent robocalls that have harassed hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians. ✅ Secured three price gouging settlements and more than $80,000 in restitution for North Carolinians who were forced to pay egregious prices during states of emergency. ✅ Won a lifetime ban against "Pharma Bro" Martin Shkreli that prevents him from ever doing business in the pharmaceutical industry again and requires him to return more than $64 million in illegal profits. ✅ Achieved a $1.85 billion settlement with Navient over allegations that it pushed student loan borrowers toward harmful financial decisions and predatory loans. 13,000 North Carolinians will receive more than $37 million in student loan relief.
