John xxxxxx — we’re respectfully asking if you will make a $5 donation to our campaign before our first fundraising deadline of 2022?

Sorry to be so blunt, but our first fundraising deadline of 2022 is on Monday and we still need 218 more donations to close the gap and start this year on the strongest note possible.

We know we say this often, but hitting this month’s goal is so important. Here’s why:

Recently, Politico reported that House Minority Leader McCarthy, raised $9.5 million at a fundraiser held in Washington D.C. where corporate PACs donated millions of dollars to the Republican Party to help them take back the House.

So if we don’t hit our fundraising goals, it’ll make going up against McCarthy’s millions nearly impossible. But we can go up against his millions and win if we all come together and pitch in what we can when we can.

The strength of this team has always been in our ability to come together in large numbers and fight for change. So if we plan to defend our House majority, then we need to hit our goals and put up a tough fight. Which is why we have to ask:

If you are able, will you make a $5 donation to help re-elect Hakeem and House Democrats? It’s going to take a lot of people chipping in a few bucks at a time to help reach our first fundraising goal of 2022 and keep House Democrats in the majority.
