→ When the GOP launched an attack on reproductive freedom by passing arcane laws like the Texas abortion ban, Carolyn immediately called an emergency session of the House Oversight Committee urging Congress to codify the right to an Abortion for all Americans
→ When states all across the country enacted laws restricting access to the ballot box, Carolyn advocated for and voted to enact the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act, two critical pieces of legislation that would reverse the voter suppression tactics of the GOP and protect every American’s vote
→ When the Trump Administration stood in the way of the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment into the U.S. Constitution, Carolyn consistently took action, reintroducing the bill in Congress, advocating for its passage at the MET Gala, and introducing a resolution recognizing the ERA as the 28th Amendment the day it should have gone into effect
