John, we have some good news and bad news.
First, here’s the good news: Our campaign to send Jessica Cisneros to Congress has gained a ton of traction. Voters are now realizing it’s too risky to re-elect Henry Cuellar at a time when he’s being investigated by the FBI. They are hungry for a representative who is transparent and honest.
Now, here’s the bad news: Despite all the attention that our campaign has received, we’re still $6,776 short of hitting our $18,000 end-of-January goal and Cuellar’s corporate donors are spending millions to re-elect him.
But we have a chance to turn this around. If just [5] supporters in your neighborhood chips in anything to this email, we can grow our movement even further to unseat far-right Democrat Henry Cuellar. So if you’re ready to send Jessica Cisneros to Congress, will you chip in $5 now?

Just recently, Henry Cuellar put out a statement saying that despite his involvement in an ongoing FBI investigation, he “intends to win” this election.
But the fact of the matter is, John, that he can’t hide his record:
- Cuellar has received campaign money from the for-profit detention centers that rip our families apart, and thousands of dollars from the NRA.
-
He consistently votes with Republicans — as a matter of fact, he’s voted more than 70% of the time with Donald Trump under his presidency.
-
He’s a staunch anti-choice Democrat who voted against codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law.
This goes to show that South Texans — and our country as a whole — deserve far better than what Henry Cuellar is offering. And we have a real chance to replace him with a true Progressive like Jessica Cisneros who will fight for all Americans and their best interests. Not corporations or special interest groups.
But for her to win, she needs a strong base of grassroots supporters by her side to help steer her campaign towards victory. Can we rely on your support to help us close out January strong and elect Jessica to Congress on March 1st?

We’ve already shown our opponent and the establishment once before that our movement is strong enough to withstand this fight, now let’s show them just how strong we really are.
Thank you,
Team Cisneros
