The Senate once again failed to take action to protect voting rights. Republicans are able to use the filibuster to drive their agenda of hate and racism — to keep people, mostly Black Americans, from being able to cast their ballot.
If we want to see any progress on voting rights legislation there is only one solution: we must eliminate the filibuster. This is the only way that we will see the John Lewis Voting Rights Act passed and protect his legacy.
