Jack, A recent report by the EPA showed that low-income communities of Black and brown folks are disproportionately affected by the harmful effects of climate change and fossil fuel pollution. Many polluting facilities are deliberately placed in those communities, robbing them of clean air, water, and a life without toxic waste washing up their backyards.
It doesn't have to be this way. If we invest in alternative energy sources and use them to replace fossil fuels, those communities can finally have a chance to thrive.

The Build Back Better Act would lower carbon emissions with new clean energy programs, tax incentives, and grants. It would also invest in coastal resiliency programs, combat drought, and wildfire, and give residential weatherization and green electrification incentives.
