Hi, team. I’m Stacey Abrams and I’m running to be the next governor of Georgia.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked to expand voter access in Georgia and break down the barriers that Republicans have made it more difficult for Black and brown communities to vote. And that work paid off when Georgia helped deliver a Joe Biden victory in 2020 and two pivotal seats that flipped the Senate for Democrats in 2021!

Now, I’m running for governor to defeat Georgia Republicans, end their damaging attacks on everything from voting rights to reproductive freedom, and finally give Georgians the leadership they deserve.

That’s why I’m reaching out directly to you, team. To help me win and to elect Democratic governors across the country, we need a surge of grassroots support. There are 36 gubernatorial elections this year, including my race in Georgia. Each of those 36 states we win will have a Democratic governor who can defend our democracy and fight back against the GOP’s coordinated attacks on our freedom to vote. And each race lost means another Republican governor will have the power to push and sign anti-voter bills into law.

Even though we are on the side of the American people, we won't win unless we start building the campaign infrastructures we need right now. Republicans are preparing to raise and spend whatever it takes to win, including in Georgia, where they’ll spend millions attacking me. To beat them, we’ll need a massive war chest.

But while they’re relying on right-wing millionaires, we’re building a grassroots movement. That’s why I’m turning to you, team.
