"Democratic governors are the last line of defense, please give before midnight."

Hey, John, I’m Tony Evers, the governor of Wisconsin.

In a moment I’m going to ask you for a gift of $5 that will be matched and put to work to support my campaign and the DGA’s efforts across the country, but first, I want to share just how essential your support is.

Earlier this month, voting rights legislation was blocked on the floor of the U.S. Senate. The fight now turns to the states, where Democratic governors like me are our very last line of defense against Republican voter suppression. The very future of our democracy is on the ballot this November, both in Wisconsin and in states nationwide.

Both my campaign for governor and the Democratic Governors Association are doing everything we can to prepare for the fight, but to win we’ll need a surge of support. Will you chip in $5, or whatever you can, before midnight and have your donation split between my campaign and the DGA? All gifts to the DGA will be matched up to the $50,000 end-of-month goal.

Donate $5 (becomes $10)

Last year, I vetoed six Republican bills designed to suppress the vote here in Wisconsin, and I will continue to veto any bill that makes it harder for eligible voters to access the ballot box. And I’m not alone. Democratic governors across the country are doing what Congress can’t: protect voters.

While Republicans continue their coordinated attack on voting rights Democratic governors in states like Nevada, Michigan, Maine, and beyond are expanding access to the ballot box and codifying voter protections into state law because we know democracy is a sacred right for Americans. If you’re eligible to vote, it should be easy to vote.

But we can’t win this if we’re standing alone. That’s why I’m reaching out to you today, John. Protecting our elections is so important that a group of donors is matching all DGA gifts up to the DGA’s $50,000 end-of-month goal. Please, will you make a gift of $5 or more to my campaign and the DGA before our Monday deadline to stand up to Republican attacks on voting rights and elect Democrats nationwide?

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Donate $1 (becomes $2)
Donate $5 (becomes $10)
Donate $25 (becomes $50)
Or donate another amount

Thank you for standing up for voting rights.

Onward,

Tony Evers
Governor of Wisconsin

In heavily gerrymandered Wisconsin, Governor Tony Evers acts as a brick wall against Republicans’ coordinated efforts to suppress voters, ban abortions, and gerrymander their way into power.

Last year, he vetoed six bills that would have created unnecessary and damaging hurdles for Wisconsinites to participate in our democracy. And he’s vowed to veto any bill that comes across his desk that makes it harder for folks to access the health care they need.

Will you answer his call and chip in now to elect Democratic governors? All donations will be split between his campaign and the DGA, where they’ll be matched.
