John, you may have heard last week how Ohio is on the front lines of the U.S.-China tech fight.

China is doing everything it can to take over the global market so they can try to outcompete America. This starts with microchips that power everything from phones, to cars, to home appliances, computers and much more.

Right now, 75% of chip manufacturing capacity is in Asian countries, including mainland China, leaving U.S. national security and supply chain vulnerable and forcing American workers to take a backseat.

That is why I am so committed to bringing manufacturing jobs back to America.

Last week, Lt. Governor Husted and I joined the great American company Intel in announcing that it will bring the world’s largest chip manufacturing operation right here to Ohio! This is a huge win against China as we bring manufacturing jobs back to America.

This historic $20 billion investment will bring more than 20,000 good-paying jobs to the buckeye state, not to mention the tremendous impact on so many other Ohio companies in the supply chain.

Our message to China and the rest of the world? From now on, essential manufactured products will be made in America.

Ohio won this historic project through smart, conservative policies that lower taxes and create a business-friendly environment. These policies keep winning for Ohio workers and business.
