To all those who have served our country in the armed forces, I want to say thank you.

We need to make sure our country’s brave men and women know they are appreciated. That’s why I’m committed to fighting for our veterans once I’m in Congress. We need to make sure they have access to the resources they depend on once they get home — like healthcare, benefits, and job opportunities.

Today is about much more than saying thank you. Today is about making sure our veterans are taken care of — a fight to which we must all be deeply committed.

We are so very lucky to have so many brave men and women in this country who are willing to sacrifice everything to fight for our freedom. We need to make sure they know that those sacrifices are honored and recognized, today and every day.
