As a person living with Type 1 diabetes, Kim understands firsthand how important it is for everyone to be able to afford the lifesaving medication they need. But right now, too many Americans are forced to choose between putting food on the table and affording their prescriptions.

Over the years, the cost of prescription drugs has skyrocketed as Big Pharma CEO's place their profits above peoples' wellbeing. Even in the midst of a pandemic, Big Pharma has remained focused on their bottom line.

In 2021, pharmaceutical lobbyists increased their spending to try and stop Kim and Democrats in Congress from passing much-needed legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs and expand access to affordable health care. And dark money groups funded by pharmaceutical companies already aired over $500,000 worth of dishonest ads attacking Kim for her work to lower prescription drug costs in 2021 alone.
