Having served as South Carolina’s first director of the Violence Against Women Act Project and the state’s top Victim Advocate, Mia’s deeply familiar with our criminal justice system — and its weaknesses.

Mia will bring the same collaborative, bipartisan, multidisciplinary approach she’s used throughout her career to the governor’s office to push for meaningful criminal justice reform.
