This has been a tough start to the new year:

• We’re year three into a global pandemic and the daily Covid cases are at an all-time high.
• The fight for reproductive freedom has never been more in balance.
• And the fight for voting rights seems all but lost.

But we’ve also had some wins that keep us going:

• 761 people have been charged for their participation in the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
• Over 210 million Americans have been fully vaccinated.
• President Biden has promised to appoint a Black woman to the Supreme Court after Justice Breyer announced his retirement.
