In just a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a contribution to my re-election campaign. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

Right now, we are at a crossroads in Congress. On one side, Democrats are fighting to pass bills to help the American people, bills that will significantly lower healthcare costs for Americans. And on the other side, Republicans are trying to obstruct our progress and detonate protections for those with pre-existing conditions.

And the thing that concerns me the most is that our House majority is extremely fragile. All of the progress we’re making could be stopped cold if we don’t show up in November.

I shudder to think about what this House would prioritize if it were run by Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene.

But for now, we have to put that thought behind us and focus on the task at hand: defending and expanding our Democratic House majority.
