I’ll be blunt: I’ve been appalled watching Republicans in Congress and across the country undermine our sacred voting rights.

That’s why I was proud to join my Democratic colleagues in fighting back by introducing voting rights legislation earlier this year.

At each stage, Republicans have derailed our efforts and sabotaged the fight to defend our democracy.

And at each stage, I’ve refused to let them have the final word -- because our democracy is just too important to give up on.
