Hi Friend,
This year, we’re facing the first election cycle since Texas Republicans passed SB 1 -- the most undemocratic voter suppression legislation in decades.
We’re fighting back in every way we know how. From printing half a million voter registration cards to helping seniors across the state navigate the new vote by mail rules, we won’t let Republicans silence the voices of millions of Texans.
One of the most important ways we’re fighting back against one of the worst Republican voter suppression bills in the country (SB1) is by training Texans all across our state on the effects of this legislation so they can continue their important work of supporting voters.
Last week, we were joined by Texans from every corner of the state to discuss the new mail ballot rules under SB 1.
And on Tuesday, Democratic County Chairs, Primary Administrators, and Election Worker Trainers joined us to learn about the changes Texas Republicans made to polling place procedures.
One of our trainees put it perfectly:
“We have the opportunity to show voters their voice is valued and there are lots of people working hard to make sure it's heard.”
The better election workers can understand the roadblocks that Texas Republicans put in their way, the better equipped they are to help voters overcome those obstacles.
Education is one of the best ways we can fight back against Republican attacks -- and our state party can’t do it without you.
So Friend, can we count on you to rush a $7 contribution before our midnight January 31 voter registration and fundraising deadline so we have the resources to continue these critical trainings?

I hope you’ll help us make sure every voice is heard.
United in the fight,
