John–
Electing Gun Sense Champions has always been a priority for us. We've taken that to the next level by training more than 100 volunteers to run for office, join campaigns, and take the jobs of elected officials who stand in the way of gun safety.
Today, I'm proud to announce the first graduates of the Demand a Seat program. Join me in congratulating these volunteers by signing our card with a note as they continue the fight.
Volunteers are the backbone of this movement. Time and time again, they show up to do whatever it takes to keep our communities safe and save lives—so it's no surprise that when we invited people to apply for Demand a Seat, the response was incredible.
And their enthusiasm comes at a crucial time: Local and state politics are shaping up to be an important battleground for our movement as insurrectionists and other members of the far-right move to take over town councils and other local elected offices.
This first graduating class is just the beginning of something huge. We couldn't be more excited to watch these volunteers take what they learned and use it to become leaders in city halls, state capitals, and communities across the country.
These future leaders need to know you have their back. Sign our card and send them a special note to show your support.
Thank you for being a part of this movement,
Dina Dariotis
