Seven years of grinding conflict in Yemen have pushed the country’s fragile health care system to the brink of collapse and forced millions of people to flee their homes. In Marib governorate, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is responding to a new influx of people displaced by fighting in what was once considered the “safest” part of the country. The population of Marib city has swelled from less than half a million to nearly three million, with most of those uprooted now totally reliant on humanitarian assistance. Our teams are providing medical services through eight mobile clinics and a primary health care center and caring for people suffering from diseases related to poor living
