John,
This is awesome news! The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals just upheld the California net neutrality law, SB 822, which is widely seen as the strongest net neutrality legislation in the nation.1
Fight for the Future played a crucial role in getting this net neutrality legislation passed, and now the court’s decision paves the way for us to do the same thing in other states. Will you chip in to fund our work for a free and open Internet?

The court’s ruling is a crushing defeat for telecom giants like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T, who spent millions of dollars lobbying against the bill, and even funded astroturf groups that spammed senior citizens with robocalls making misleading claims about net neutrality.2,3
We pulled out all the stops to get this bill passed, driving thousands of phone calls and emails to California legislators, and even crowdfunding a billboard that got a key state lawmaker to reverse his position on the bill.4
Now that the court has made it clear that states have the right to enact their own net neutrality protections, we have a real opportunity to get other states to follow California’s lead. And with the Senate Commerce Committee preparing to vote on FCC nominee Gigi Sohn, we’re poised to restore net neutrality at the Federal level too.
But telecom giants and the lobbying and public relations firms they spend millions on will be fighting us every step of the way. That’s why we need your support so that we can keep winning.

Thanks for all you do,
