Friend,

Just this week, Justice Stephen Breyer announced that he's retiring from the Supreme Court. This is huge news – he's one of only three Democrat-nominated justices on the bench. So now, we have to make sure that President Biden has the votes to appoint a new liberal justice to protect Breyer's legacy. The only way we can do that is by holding on to our Democratic majority in the Senate. If that doesn't happen, we could be in for some serious déjà vu.

We all remember what happened when President Obama nominated Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court – a Mitch McConnell-led Senate obstructed his nomination from even being put to a vote for NEARLY A YEAR. (And it goes without saying that hypocritical Mitch didn't extend the same "grace period" when he replaced Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at lightning speed.)

In just four years, Trump was able to add three ultraconservative justices to the bench. On top of that, Republicans are now waging an all-out assault on Roe v. Wade. In states like Texas and Mississippi, Republicans have already gone against the public and voted to restrict abortion rights. The Supreme Court is the last bastion of these legal defenses, friend. We need Justice Breyer replaced with another strong justice for Roe and voting rights.

It's as simple as this: Protecting the Supreme Court means protecting our Senate majority, friend, and we can't do that without your support. That's why we're getting the message out to help us defeat the GOP in the most competitive Senate races in states like Arizona, Georgia and Nevada.

Friend, can I count on you today to rush a donation to make sure we protect democracy, human rights and Justice Breyer's legacy for decades to come? Every dollar you donate will go directly toward electing Democrats and defending our razor-thin Senate majority:
