Friend – New York's attorney general, Letitia James, just offered a stark rebuke and warning to Donald Trump and his family for seeking to evade the state's investigation into the Trump Organization's potential criminal practices.

She wrote: "No one in this country can pick and choose if and how the law applies to them."

She's right. For years – decades – Donald Trump has taken steps to enrich himself at the expense of others. His adult children have proven to be willing and enthusiastic accomplices to his endeavors.

Now, the New York State Office of the Attorney General indicates they have evidence that the Trump organization submitted fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to the IRS. Those alleged to be involved: Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump.

But Trump Jr. and Ivanka reportedly do not plan to comply with the subpoenas issued by the New York attorney general.

We must keep speaking out to ensure there's justice for those whom the Trumps have wronged. Whether it's Trump's attacks on our democratic institutions during his time in the White House or his fraudulent business practices, we can't settle for anything less than accountability. With the Trump family reportedly attempting to evade this investigation, we need to speak out now:
