I’m running to change the face of Congress. If elected, I’ll make history as Arizona’s first Black member of Congress, and I’ll be the second youngest person currently serving in the House.

I am different from your average member of Congress, but I think that’s a good thing. We need new voices and new perspectives to push our country forward.

If elected, I’ll have the opportunity to work on issues like fighting poverty and income inequality with actual life experiences to provide insight. I know what it’s like to use food stamps and grow up in public housing. When I work on legislation about prescription drug pricing, I’ll understand what people are going through because I deal with the excessive prices of the inhalers I need to deal with my asthma.

These issues are personal to me. And because of that, you better believe I’ll fight tirelessly to make things better for people in my community dealing with similar issues.

I’m ready to head to Congress and work to make progress in this country while also changing the face of leadership. But I need your support — please, will you chip in before the end-of-month deadline to meet our $10,000 goal?
