The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I spent most of my week in Arizona visiting with constituents and learning about the issues important to the Fighting Fifth District. Read below for highlights from this week, most prominently, my letter to the Biden administration demanding they stop tracking religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine mandate:

Protecting Religious Freedoms

On Monday, I sent a letter, along with 40 of my colleagues, to President Biden demanding that his administration stop tracking federal employees who have applied for religious exemptions from his COVID-19 vaccine mandate. This comes after the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia issued notice in the Federal Register that it would create a new records system to track federal employees’ “personal religious information”. It has been reported that at least 19 federal agencies, including five cabinet level agencies, have also proposed creating similar databases. Check out my full letter below:

Reining in Federal Involvement in Healthcare

On Friday, I re-introduced four pieces of legislation that aim to rein in federal involvement in the healthcare industry and fully repeal Obamacare. Bottom line, Americans have the right to make medical decisions without interference from the federal government. The federal government screws up almost everything it touches. Medical care is no exception. I have also repeatedly called for a clean repeal of Obamacare. Republicans made this promise to the American people, and failed to deliver. If we keep this promise we will give significant premium relief to millions of Americans suffering under the law's taxes and mandates. Check out the pieces of legislation by clicking below:

Awakening from the Biden Slumber

To get a feel for how fast Joe Biden has destroyed the United States, pretend you went to sleep on Election Night 2020 and woke up the morning of the first anniversary of Biden’s inauguration, January 20, 2022. A lot has happened: the economy is in shambles, inflation has reached a forty-year high, the southern border is overrun, and Russia is on the brink of war with Ukraine. We are living in Biden’s world, and the American people are becoming restless under his socialist agendas. Read my opinion piece below on the current state of our country under Biden’s rule:

Biden's Border Crisis

New year, same border crisis. I went down to the Arizona border on Friday to see Biden’s Border Crisis first-hand. It’s ridiculous what our Border Patrol agents have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. It’s even more ridiculous that we have a DHS Secretary who has turned his back on these dedicated men and women. That’s one of the reasons I filed articles of impeachment on Secretary Mayorkas last year. Secretary Mayorkas’s actions and policies have put America in more danger today than when he began serving as Secretary. He is willfully refusing to maintain operational control of the border and is encouraging aliens to enter our country illegally. He must be impeached. See photos of my trip below and read more about my articles of impeachment here. You can also check out a video from my trip here

School Choice Week

In honor of School Choice Week, I was invited to speak to students at Heritage Academy Gateway and tour the future site of Lexington Life Academy for autistic and special needs students. Arizona is the unquestioned leader in school choice. We must continue to put students and parents first! Check out my video here and pictures of the visit below:
