I’m writing to ask you for a $3 donation to help us meet our first end-of-month fundraising deadline of 2022. Things have changed in my race, so I hope you’ll let me shed some light on why your support is so critical -- especially right now:
CA-49 is quickly becoming a key battleground in the fight for House control. Four Republicans have already announced campaigns against us, and local analysts now predict that our race will be the ONLY congressional elections in our region that will see a "competitive, two-party race in November."

There are very few paths to keeping the House Majority if we lose this seat. Kevin McCarthy and the National Republicans know that, which is why they're gearing up to spend massive sums on attack ads to unseat me.

As you know, I'm depending on individual donors to hold this seat, and I'm rejecting all corporate PAC cash. Support from folks like you is how we defeated their attacks in 2018 and 2020, and it's how we will defeat them in 2022.
