Friend,
Before I start the day, I check our fundraising numbers so we can stay on budget. But I saw something concerning when I logged into ActBlue today:
See that negative slope, friend? In math class negative slopes are useful for solving equations, but in campaigns, they make it harder for us to organize on the ground, and have the crucial conversations with voters that will flip this district from red to blue.
To be totally transparent, this budget hole couldn’t come at a worse time. We need to start this election year off strong, so we set an ambitious end-of-month goal of $45,000 – but after postponing our in-person fundraisers and events due to COVID-19, we’re falling behind.
If we don’t catch up soon, we will be in trouble. I’d really hate to bother Jasmine with this slowdown in fundraising when she’s busy campaigning, so I’m hoping I can count on your support.
It’s our job to reverse this downward trend so we can help Jasmine replace Madison Cawthorn’s divisive and toxic politics with a politics powered by love, empathy, and doing right by our neighbors.
Will you get us back on track by chipping in $25 or more towards our end-of-month goal? We want to start this year off in the strongest position possible.
Thanks for being in this with us.
– Luke
