John, I wanted to take the time to share with you why I’m running. I know you’re eager to start your weekend, but I hope you’ll take a few moments to read until the end. If you’re short on time, will you chip in $10 before you go to make sure I have what it takes to win this historic race? >>
John -- my family lived in poverty growing up.
I know what it’s like to struggle and to have people doubt you.
That’s why I became a public school teacher -- I wanted to help kids like me.
That’s why I became a school board member.
That’s why I ran for the state legislature.
That’s why I’m running for Congress.
I’m not running for political gain or prestige.
I’m running to continue serving working families.
I’m running to end the vicious cycle of poverty in this country.
I’m running to leave the world a better place for my children, Ava and Luca.
I’m ready to fight tooth and nail for working families like the one I grew up in. But unfortunately, Congressman Bacon has massively outraised me with hundreds of thousands of dollars from special interests. That’s why I’m asking personally, John: If you believe in my campaign, will you chip in $10 before midnight? >>
Congressman Don Bacon isn’t fighting for families like mine.
He voted for massive tax cuts for billionaires and corporations.
He voted against COVID relief for working families.
He voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
I’m running for Congress because you deserve a representative that will put working families first, not last.
John, I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for American families. But I can’t do that if I stay massively outraised. I know you work hard for your money, but I have to ask: Can you chip in $10 -- or whatever spare change you have – before midnight to help me win this race and put working families first? >>
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Tony
