It’s hard to believe it, but we are almost at the end of the first month of the year. And what a month it’s been.

Republicans in the state legislature wasted no time attacking reproductive rights in Florida. Their bill, HB 5, is a 15 week abortion ban that’s already passed through two committees. If it were to become law today, it would be unconstitutional under Roe v. Wade, but that may not be the case for long.

We need to get to work now electing Democratic pro-choice women across our state. And we want to make a big statement before the end of the month. Can you commit to becoming a monthly donor today?

Since this session has started, many of our incumbents and candidates have spoken out and have called for action to stop this abortion ban. Their voices are crucial to this fight.

Although Republicans are touting this bill as pro-medicine and pro-science, it’s quite the opposite. All abortion bans are an attempt to advance a political agenda over sound science and medicine. We can’t sit back and let them strip rights away from half of Floridians. But we need your help to stop them.
