John — Political spending so far in 2022 for the midterms is unlike anything we’ve seen before.
In Pennsylvania, celebrity doctor Oz has dropped $5.4 million on ads in two months, and another Republican, David McCormick, has spent $3.7 million on TV.
In Ohio, where there’s an open Senate seat created by retiring Republican Senator Rob Portman, two Republican self-funders have each already spent $10 million.
This is an eye-popping amount of money and follows a trend appearing this year: deep-pocketed Republicans running for office.
Unlike them, we rely on small-dollar contributions from folks all over the country to protect our Senate majority. It may not seem like a fair fight, but when you donate $10 and someone else does too it begins to add up quickly — and that’s how we plan to fight back and win.
So if you are able, will you make a $10 donation today to Defend the Senate? Your support matched with the support of thousands of others is what will allow us to compete with the millions Republicans are throwing into Senate races this year. [[link removed]]

We have some tough challenges ahead of us, but if we stick together there’s nothing that we can’t accomplish.
Thank you for all you do to support Senate Democrats.
