Peggy on J40 Anniversary

Justice40: The First Anniversary

Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of President Biden’s Justice40 Executive Order, which promised a whole-of-government effort to advance environmental justice, including investing 40 percent of the benefits of climate and infrastructure spending in environmental justice communities. You can read the original announcement here, and learn about the administration’s plans to achieve it here.

Peggy Shepard commented on its progress in E&E News, which you can read here if you are a subscriber. And the Equitable and Just National Climate Platform, of which WE ACT is a co-author, released a powerful statement on the progress of this initiative and what still needs to be done to achieve environmental justice for all. You can read the statement here.

Come learn about safe and effective methods for rat prevention in your home and community. It’s free and open to everyone (except rats, of course). You can learn more about the Rat Academy here, and sign up for the online session on Monday, January 31 at 4:00 PM EST here.
