Friend --

Big news as we head toward our first fundraising deadline of the year: One of the most prominent anti-vaccine activists in the country, Mark Blaxill, is running against Dean.

Anti-vaccine organizations are raising money and forming PACs to support candidates who will carry out their anti-science agenda. Blaxill is their perfect candidate.

So we've got to ask, Friend – will you support Dean with a contribution before tomorrow's midnight deadline? Your contribution will help us build a campaign that can rise above the vitriol no matter how heated this race gets.

If Blaxill's name sounds familiar, there's a reason. In 2017, he used his position in the community to downplay the risks of measles and discourage parents from getting their kids vaccinated.

Soon after, Hennepin County experienced a measles outbreak that infected more than 70 kids, sending several to the hospital.

Measles. A disease that, as of 2000, had been officially eradicated from the United States BECAUSE of vaccination programs.

No more. At a time when vaccines and other public health measures have been turned into political lightning rods, Blaxill’s views could put all of us at risk if he wins a seat in Congress.

So with our end-of-month deadline just a day away, let's throw our support behind Dean. Please chip in $10 or whatever you can before midnight tomorrow.
